Location
Orts is situated in the Hessle Road area of the city of Hull. Close to the city centre Hessle Road locally is an infamous shopping road.
Once housing doctors, trawler fleet owners, merchants and architects the area is a place influenced by the rise and fall of the docks, a place of colourful characters, community and hard times. Home of the 'headscarf revolutionaries" and a history of strong women. Orts enjoys being part of a wealth of community based movement celebrating the tenacity and creativity that is finding its voice again.
